Coffee brand Illy has introduced a line of whole-bean, single-origin coffees in North America that “highlight the most appealing taste notes” associated with four prolific coffee-producing countries.The Arabica Selection includes four variants originating in Brazil, Colombia, Ethiopia and Guatemala. Each one is custom-roasted to highlight the coffee’s caramel, fruity, floral or chocolate notes respectively.The range was developed through an extensive research and development process that harnessed Illy’s institutional knowledge of coffee and its resources.Over the past 24 months, Illy has collaborated with roasting experts at the company’s headquarters in Italy to create specific roasting profiles that spotlight the most aromatic and taste notes within each origin’s bean.
Arabica Selection is a new line of single origin coffee from Illy. The beans from Brazil are characterized by an intense flavour with the hints of caramel. The coffee is aromatic and creamy.

Brazil is the world leader in the production of Arabica. Coffea is grown mainly in the south-east part of the country, at high altitudes, in ideal climatic conditions.

Ethiopia is the country where the history of coffee began. Coffea often grows here in the wild, but it is also grown on farms and in private gardens. The beans are harvested by hand. The beans from that region have distinctive slightly floral and citrus aroma.

Colombia The variety of soil, altitude and climate make Colombia perfect environment for the cultivation of unique coffee.


Guatemala, Coffee is grown on the fertile soil high in the mountains. Suitable temperatures are the result of the hot air current from Mexico. That, along with farmers' care, results in the beans with intense aroma, complex flavour and pleasant sweetness.
