I switched from RESIST Advanced Replenishing Toner Skin Remodeling Complex to this toner because of the Hyaluronate and Green Tea Extract. I have found both very effective for my skin. I find this toner alleviates dryness, itchiness, redness. It's not too moisturizing. I use it at night.—moijetaime
I love this! This is the best toner I have ever used. Unfortunately, I tried the samples directly after ordering a full sized Skin Recovery toner (which is also a great product, but I much prefer natural products). I will be ordering the full sized version of this very soon. It makes me skin look wonderful. Please make more Earth Sourced products!—Jessica
unique staple this is a toner that is completely unique (as are most of paula's products). toners are controversial , but i find that lately i can't be without one after cleansing to see what was left behind. trouble is, 90% of the market is fully of alcohol-ridden, fragrant, artificially colored ones that amount to nothing more than harmful astringents. not only is this part of the new natural line that i was so psyched to see Paula had created, but it's a gel texture. The only toner that came close in terms of feeling and lasting a while (hate having to buy a bottle a month) was a Lancome one, however again, it was dyed with Red 40 and had about 5 basic ingredients and the price was high. When I found out this had a gel texture i was excited; it means less will go further and it won't be completely absorbed by your cotton pads! you can also feel where you put it on and have time to move it around and distribute it. the SECOND ingredient is Sodium Hyaluronate! that's amazing. combined with all the other antioxidants and skin emollients, it's one of a kind. I don't think there is a skin type this wouldn't benefit-toners should never be drying not even for oily skin. i am sincerely asking that this just come in a super size! out of this world!—Yael
A very nice toner I don't always use toner because I hate having a "sticky" feel on my skin, which I get from most toners (even Paula's). And all the "natural" toners I have looked at contain tons of irritating ingredients: alcohol and/or witch hazel, and essential oils that are too irritating to be used on skin. Of course, Paula's Choice omits all of those, and came up with a very nice formula in this Earth Sourced Refreshing Toner. It does feel very soothing, and leaves minimal "stickiness" on my face. It is nearly a gel in consistency, and has some slight moisturizing properties. In the summer, I might consider using this and skipping moisturizer, as my skin tends to be rather oily and breakout prone in the heat. This is a great toner option, and definitely worth a try if you like to use toner anyway. If you're super picky about toner like I am, it's still worth a try if you want the benefits and a natural formula without all the irritants!—Joy
Unique soothing tonic, akin to a light moisturizer This has a unique texture for a toner - it's like a lightweight moisture gel that provides a sheer soothing skin barrier after cleansing. I have not had luck spreading this on my face with a cotton pad (it tends to sit on the cotton and doesn't absorb enough to evenly wipe it over the skin) so I just use my hands for application. If the package is ever redesigned, I would prefer a cylindrical bottle with twist-on cap like the repackaged Skin Balancing and Recovery toners. All in all a welcome addition to the Paula's Choice line!—Joe
Best toner!!!! I've been using this toner for almost a month now and love it!!! I'm a big fan of natural based products and love that Paula has started to come out with some. I have dry skin that gets red very easily, but this instantly soothes right when I apply it, I love love love it and can't wait to try the cleanser!!!!—Jen
Nice replacement for MD Calming Gel I have rosacea and ultra-sensitive skin. I can't use any products with vitamin C as they cause extreme redness. I used to use MD Formulations Critical Care Calming Gel under my moisturizer - a nice, soothing plantioxidant gel - until they changed the formula, and Paula withdrew her recommendation (thank goodness for Beautypedia!) Since then I haven't had an antioxidant product. I am happy to report that this product is very soothing to my skin and appears to be a nice replacement for my old product, and for a much lower price! Bravo Paula!—Jenn

OL' NATURAL Love this toner. I usually use the skin balancing toner in the day and then skin recovery at night with a cotton pad to remove last trace of makeup THEN I spray a couple squirts of resist toner over that and let it sink in. But I bought this instead of s.r. toner and I like it way better bc its not as heavy, my face feels cleaner and I can also use this in place of my s.b.t. in the day !! Its light but moisturizing. I just bought 2 bottles so I don't run out! Thanks for the amazing products. Nothing else touches my face except Paulas Choice Products—armanda
