The redesign adds pop filtering enabling the Corona to handle vocal plosives, plus a capsule specifically ported to capture more low frequencies for a thicker, richer, and more rounded vocal sound. Not only is the Corona an excellent vocal mic, it can also be used to add body and character to instrument sources that could use a little low-frequency assist. The Corona has an anodized body with front and back grilles in the same “space grey” finish as the Delta 2. Corona also features the same capsule used in the best-selling, TEC award-nominated Solo handheld vocal mic, with a tight supercardioid pattern and excellent side rejection for higher gain before feedback.
